Climate control and remote start issues

Need some help with this one. On my 11,13, 15 I left the climate on 70, auto and air button all on year round. If it was 45 or 85 out, the truck did what it had to do to keep that 70 mark. Even when using remote start. I am having issues with the remote start and climate now on the 17. I leave the climate button on, temp at 70, air button on, and in settings left it on both "auto" and "previous" and it does nothing at all. Let it run for 15 minutes, inside is still cold as outside temp. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks

If the A/C button is lit then you're not in auto mode. Make sure the light on the left dial/button, which says Auto on it, is lit. When it's set that way then the system will turn on the A/C (the button will light) when it needs to cool things down to get to your set temp.

Use the settings in the dash to set the remote start climate to "auto." At this point it doesn't matter what your climate control panel settings are at. The truck will try to reach the temp automatically.

With the weather right now, are you hoping for the truck to heat up inside or use A/C and cool down? If it is cold out and you want heat...does the heated seats / heated steering wheel (if equipped) turn on? If remote started in the cold, they should be on automatically. If its a diesel, don't expect much warmup on a cold day after idling for 10 minutes.

Supplemental heater will warm things up if you have it. You have to go into the remote start settings for the heated steering, heated seats and auto climate. Works good, I only remote start 5 minutes now before I drive even at -15 as it heats things up nicely.... Will have to wait several months on the cooling side though.
