Current Fuel Prices....
The laws of 'supply & demand' don't seem to be working when it comes to the gasoline situation. Demand is constant. Supply never has any trouble that I've noticed. There always seems to be plenty of gas for sale. I haven't seen a station with no gas to sell since the 70s. I'm not sure if it gouging or not (most likely it is ) but fuel prices are definately manipulated to increase profits for the oil companies and for gov'ts. How much of the fuel price is federal or state taxes ? A pretty big portion most places. In Scotland and germany, 2 places mentioned, their fuel taxes go to pay for what ? In the USA it ( fuel taxes ) used to pay only for the roads, I'm not certain that is the case anymore. What do Canada's fuel taxes pay for ? DF
