As a first time Ford owner I'm fairly skeptical, it hasnt been the greatest start with the second day of owning it i had the transmission hemmoraging fluid from the bellhousing. That issue should be resolved tomorrow night. It is a 1990 f250 460 e4od with whats believed to be 100k miles on the engine, tranny unknown. Any future problems i should look out for or any mods you kind folks would deem necessary.

Welcome to FTE.
Congratulations. You have purchased a very large, gas guzzling, mechanically simple, but a fairly technologically complex vehicle that is now over a quarter century old (Think trying use a 286 intel pc running windows 3.1 to watch youtube)
Most of us here are enthusiasts & can deal. But since you did no homework before purchase & based on your opening, its almost a sure thing you WILL be massively disappointed.
Not being overly harsh, just a realist who's had a bad day.
Start with learning how to check codes (doesn't matter if you've got no CEL) & doing a search for "460" and/or "7.5" and "E4OD".
Trans fluid coming from the bellhousing usually means the converter seal is distorted from heat. Were you pulling something heavy with it? This does not happen in normal driving unless the seal has been damaged by previous overheating. I guess the person who sold you the truck did not mention this problem?
If you are having the converter seal replaced, be sure to use a blue or black colored seal. The gray seal is OEM and those are the ones that fail under heat.
From an optimist viewpoint, you have an awesome truck....long lasting, cheap to work on, big block power...like said above learn to pull codes (I don't particularly think it'll help you here but you need to know anyway) and start with that seal. Aftermarket Trans cooler is also a must on that truck.
Well, you list the mileage at 50K-75K miles but say the engine has about 100K. Since the odometer doesn't read past 100K how many miles are actually on the truck? As mentioned it is almost 30 years old so any vehicle will have issues. What have you owned in the last?
Anyway there is a lot of knowledge here that can help you sort out whatever problems you have. Welcome.
