Maybe I'm going about the difficult way, but I've been reading about the late model ebrake calipers that come on many vehicles now. Ford and GM use a motor that pulls a cable to engage the ebrake. You push a button on the dash, and that's it.
Audi, VW, Lincoln, Mustangs, and some others have them. It seems the Mercedes/audi/vw ones have a motor on the caliper, gears to amplify the clamp force.
I'm going to be looking at some of those. The thickness of the rotor will decide.
