Ground Wire, easy to replace? (Rat)
Well, got home from picking up my kids from school today, and my truck smelled funny, like something was burning. Didn't smell like burning oil, but I decided to start looking around for a leak. Found a pile of debris, on no....
I guess while I was away on a 3 day business trip, a critter decide to make himself a home. As you can see from the pics, chewed up the ground wire bad. I put some tape on it for now. I looked around and didn't see anymore damage. No sure exactly how long it was under the hood, but I had my truck inspected on the 12th(Thursday), and it wasn't there as they needed help getting the hood open and I didn't see it then. I figure with the tape job, I'm ok to drive it a little bit, but should probably get that wire replaced.
My question is about that ground wire on the 2011, is it easy to replace? Or is this really a "dealer" job. I tried to find the other end of the ground, but looks like it goes under the intercooler and disappears. Thoughts?
