I will definitely sort the vans parts and post them up eventually. May have even found a line on a set of van hotpipes.
What is the better route? What was your timing set at? What were your EGT's? What trans do you have? Was your boost levels with a load or unloaded? Do you have any comparison for before and after towing?

I would possibly be interested in the van parts once you get them sorted out.

mine will maybe make 10 lbs on a hill empty.
put 21,000 lbs trailer behind it and i will pin the boost gauge on the same hill.

10-12 ain't that bad for an untuned turbo setup. Tweek it a bit and you could get more. And like the others said, once it's loaded, it'll bump up a lot.

Also, unless you've done other mods (head studs, etc), you don't want to exceed 12psi anyway.

15 on a pure stock engine is fine. you need studs when you hit up around 20 PSI

One thing I didn't like is there's not a lot of room for a down pipe on my body style (85)
I tried denting the firewall with a 6' prybar but the whole thing just flexed, it's amazing I haven't had to do the clutch master cylinder plate yet, probably due to the fact that I have a smf not a dual.

I'd like something in the likes of 20-25 but I need studs and my motor already has too many miles plus she's starting to breathe a little. I just put an engine in it not too long ago I just went the cheap route until I have the time to actually build a motor.

I think some cowl massaging and a hx35w turbo would match up nicely. They bolt up to the banks pedestal too.

you can easily sell this kit if half of the van parts are there,

please help out some poor unfortunate van owner.
you can most likely flip this for a better turbo for your truck.
its highly likely someone has a complete truck kit they cant use.

you found the hens teeth, now turn it into a golden egg.
This. Also, while the early banks doesnt command the price of the sidewinder, imho there isnt a damn thing wrong with them. All the reading ive done shows they perform really well, and respond very well to a larger compressor wheel. Alot of it i think comes from people thinking a wastegate means a better turbo, where i fully disagree, it depends on the turbo and the engine. As for IDIs, with stockish fueling, i doubt you could tell a difference between an 093 and 088

Pull up the turbo and dyno threads and do some research. HX35 is way too small... ask me how i know. An H1C might work alright as it has the 17cm housing, but the turbine is still small and the compressor trim doesnt really suit the airflow needs of a 7.3. If you want to go on the cheap, look for an hx40, s362 or similar off a 7-9 liter engine and run a t3/t4 adapter if necessary, or get an 093 housing machined for a s300 series turbo from R&D
