Excursion drivers window fix
I had the re-occuring drivers window that dud not want always work. Slam the door fix worked most times but finnally no joy. I did try replacing the switch once but this was not the problem. It was the window motor. I could have replaced it but figured I may as well take it apart and see the problem with the motor. It was full of black soot. Took the motor apart (4 small torx head screws) washed it with 91% alcohol. Used 600 grit emery paper on the brushes and shaft contact area. Make sure it is dry before you put it back together. Reassembled and tested to see if it turned freely attached to the switch (not bolted in ). Worked fine not like before were even free it would stick. Easy fix folks. Try this before replacing your faulty window motor.
