Could someone with a F450 and the FORScan try enabling the TPMS system to see what it does? If it comes up and just says it cannot find the sensors, maybe we could just fine sensors that fit the wheels (or use external ones) and get TPMS.
My adapter should be here Friday and I have the software ready to go. I would love to try this for you. I've been wanting to try this myself. I also would like to do the same thing with my trailer tpms.
Bill, if you can enable it through Forscan, you could always use the standard sensors and mount them the old fashioned way. On the inside banded to the inner wheel.

My plan exactly. That's why I want someone to run the experiment. I was excited to see the TPMS on/off discovery in the FORScan spreadsheet. I'm sure looking forward to the results!

Rodney or Bill or whomever may know the answer:
Have we ever gotten a definitive explanation of why the TPMS is missing from the 450? I've heard several theories such as wheel incompatibility and pressure range (although I believe this one has been disproved). I'm just curious if we know for sure what is driving the issue.

Per Ford, it's because they do not have sensors compatible with the 19.5" wheel. I know I have the reference for this somewhere, give me a bit to find it and I'll follow-up.
On Edit: Rodney beat me to it...I'll still try to find that reference...bugging me now.

If it turns out that, with FORScan, truck TPMS can be enabled or turned on in a 450, do we know if there is another setting to tell the system if you have four wheels or six? I'm assuming that functionality must exist since TPMS is available for both SRW and DRW F350s. I'm just wondering if it must be set with the software, or if the user interface in the instrument cluster lets you do it.
