I've thought about adding a H pipe to mine to mellow mine out a bit... Just haven't gone to the muffler shop to see what has to be done with my setup.

Moe truthfully I had never considered that there could be a difference between an X and H pipe but after reading the explanation it makes sense an H would allow you to run a louder muffler and soften the bark a little and control drone + the oh so terrible xtra free horsepower . Summit , Jegs and I'm sure many others sell a complete H kit clamps and all very cheap could be done in very little time with a small amount of tools .

Sorry, I missed this post. I am using a crossover and Borla 2 1/2" ProXS mufflers.

Thanks Rim that's very quiet considering you have the vent window open but still noticeable under throttle . It looks as though you have tailpipes so that will quiet it down in the cab . I will be running aprox 2100rpm@ 60mph so about the same as your 4th gear
