I would be concerned about the headlight assembly or the connector melting. It would definitely require an upgraded relay set up. I did consider something like that at one time. I have had a few different kinds of bulbs over the years and prefer GE Nighthawk or Sylvania Xtravision. I've had "white" bulbs with the bluish coating and they're awful.
I can't recommend enough putting the headlights on a relay and then cleaning the headlights with 600, 1000, 2000 wet sanding and then shooting them with gloss clear. No pun intended, it's a night and day difference. My headlights actually illuminate really well on a dark and rainy night now as before I wondered if I had turned them on. Bronco Graveyard has a nice relay harness pre-made of decent quality and inexpensive, and YouTube videos of restoring headlights make this a very simple mod. I wondered if either would make a difference and if I should just buy new headlights but for less than $40 I got the relay harness, sandpaper and clear to do the job. Plus, now I have enough to restore the taillights which I figure will make me a bit more visible at night from the rear.
The easy fix is always just put a brighter bulb in. All that does is blind the hell out of traffic as the glare from the foggy headlights are so bad but it still makes them worthless for the driver.
stock 9007 wattage is 35/55w and these are 80/100w. With these bulbs you will be drawing close to double the amps through already inadequate wiring. Id recommend a relay upgrade with these bulbs and some nice heavy gauge wiring.
