Carli is now taking pre-orders on their 2.5" Lift/Level kits for the 2017 SDs. To ship in March sometime. Still a delay on the track bar though for another 2-3 months. Would you run one of their lifts without it? https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zeASCiGsf...FordUpdate.jpg
For just a 2 1/2 " I would use the drop bracket. There prices are nuts, There shims are just for Caster ? Rear leaf spring price is off the wall... 1400.00 I hope that includes a dana 60 rear end complete with axles LOL. The price on the front Coils isn't to bad. If some one that has their 2 1/2" front springs and give me the measurements I can cross reference them to a TRW or Moog number and save a lot of $. They run about 95.00. We use to use the moog/trw coils made for the F350 Bucket trucks in my shop for a 3" lift.
Thanks for the information Hackenbush. I've never lifted or leveled one of my trucks, but had heard good things about Carli. Good to know that they are on the expensive side of things. I'd like to believe it is based on good R&D and not just name/reputation, but you never know these days.
The thing that pisses me off the most is the price increase. The same kit for a 16 WITH a trackbar is roughly $800.00 cheaper. I get it, I anticipated some price increase, but if you read their blog it sounds like the old kit was nearly a direct fit with the exception of the trackbar. So by the time you buy the kit and add the trackbar and re align it you will likely be in $1200.00 more than the same kit for the previous generation. I hope I am missing something. Is there someone who reps the Carli stuff on this site?
I had a carli kit before and it worked well but this seems a little extreme. Im looking at other options

Right??
I think I am going to just buy a few of the components and do my own. Coils, caster shims, shocks. I don’t need the brake lines. Maybe down the road I will swap out the sway bar and bump stop drops.
The Moog Caster/Camber shims are much better K-80154 (Amazon) They allow Caster & Camber up to 2 1/2 Deg + or - . There Caster shims are set to 2 Deg Pos period. Your front end Mech will thank you.

I bought the same ones from O'reilys. Did you install them yourself? Any install tips on install or positioning?
You need an alignment machine to get a reading first to see where you are. I had to adjust caster, camber, and tow after just a 1 1/2" lift. Fords spec's are broad. Also if you got the track bar bracket, install it first before you align and center the steering wheel. I did it myself but I still have access to a alignment machine. Take it to a good alignment shop thats knows ford trucks. The price of getting a good alignment is nothing compared to the money for the lift parts or front tires.

If Ford specs are that broad, what is used as a oem baseline? I plan to install the level and track bar myself then take it into an alignment shop after. How are they to tell what is correct?
They type in the Manufacture, Year, Model. The Specs are updated in the Alignment machine via update cards they send the Reps. I can only speak for Hunter Alignment machines because thats what I had 4 of them in my shop or by the Hunter Rep, I had them serviced quarterly unless one had a issue.
I just had Pro Comps 2.5in leveling kit put on with Fox shocks all the way around and I couldn't be happier with the results. The ride has definitely improved and the truck's stance is much more to my liking.

My cell pic is cocked to the right so it looks like I'm going down hill but you get the point. Please forgive me it needs a bath and I haven't put the new Toyo's, mud flaps and wheel liners on yet.
