Sync3 and FordPass

I was sold that my Truck will work with FordPass and I could remotely unlock doors, start engine, track car etc.

It does not do this, but do you think it is ever possible?

It has to be added at the factory and for now, it is not able to be ordered. I already tried. This tech is available on cars and SUVs but not our SDs as yet. Definately call it in and explain your displeased like I did. I paid big money for new, latest greatest, and I am not happy either it is not on there.

The vehicle needs a TCU with embedded modem to support FordPass. Since Ford is making a big technology push, it is very likely that future model years will have TCU support.

As an alternative to FordPass for MY 2017, there's a Remote Access solution as discussed in this thread:
