Every time I try to use it, the alarm goes off. Drives me nuts! I was able to use it the first couple of times when I got it, but now it's ridiculous. I can be standing next to the truck, push the button and the alarm will go off.
I would take it to the dealer, but it's nearly an hour away and I just don't have the time.
That does not make sense. My 2011 Expedition EL Limited does not have that constraint. In fact, it makes sure the doors are locked before it will start the car. Also the engine hood needs to be closed.
So if the car is locked it locks it again then starts. If it is unlocked it will lock the car and then start the car. Check you owners manual, that 's not right.
