NEW EXHAUST

1988 F350 dually with 460,auto,4X2...I'm looking to change the exhaust system to dual exhaust. Looked underneath and the dual fuel tanks seem to be in the way. Any solutions? I'll swap 1 cat for 2 and run the pipes to the back or sides if possible. Thanks

I have dual exhaust on my 460, and both pipes are run along the passenger side frame rail most of the way, to avoid the fuel tank.

Does the driver side pipe cross under the oil pan like the stock system?

I haven't been under the truck in awhile, but I'm pretty sure it crosses under the same as the stock setup.

Here's the exhaust on my '89. Not a dually, but pretty much the same.

Yes. The pipe from the left bank comes under the pan, turns and runs parallel to the pipe from the right bank, and joins at the converter. It originally came out of the converter as one pipe, but that has been modified.
