Has anybody played with the sport mode. I found it playing with the traction control button. I had to hold or push it really fast but there is a bunch of options but I was curious on the sport mode that came up what is that all about.
I was hitting the traction control button and came across a couple options. I was pushing the button fast and holding trying all kinds of stuff and came across it. Just haven't tried to go out and drive to see what it's all about only have 200 miles on it and haven't really put the pedal down yet if you know what I mean
Tried it out a little bit last night, snow and ice for roads up here so can't comment on power or shift points yet, but definitely lets you hang the rear out and power through powder roads without the traction control intruding right away.
My guess would be that sport mode has nothing to do with shift points or anything power related. It seems to me it's there to eliminate the stability feature associated with TC.

Sport Mode is a new feature on the F-150. I've used it on a 2.7L EcoBoost truck. It makes a very noticeable difference. Typically, Sport mode on a car resulted in higher shift points and more willing kick-down. On the 150, it actually reprograms throttle response as well. I was very surprised with how useful that feature was.
