Is there a difference in the AdvanceTrac Sport Mode and the Sport Mode some vehicles have on the shifter? I noticed some vehicles have both of these features.
Has anybody played with the sport mode. I found it playing with the traction control button. I had to hold or push it really fast but there is a bunch of options but I was curious on the sport mode that came up what is that all about.
I would be happy to buy you a beer or drink of your choice for this handy bit of info.
Does it have to be turned on each time the truck is shut off, or does it "remember" it was in sport mode?
I bet it defaults back to "safe" when the vehicle is restarted.
I will caution y'all that, at least in sports cars, these things can get away from you. There's a passel of bent Vettes and Mustangs out there from people turning off the nannys and thinking they were better drivers than they actually were.

Thanks but this is what forums are for you share information. Somebody fix the brake dust issue and I will be happy just ordered ceramic brake pads today hope that fixes the issue it's all over the body is the problem shame on Ford.
This would have been handy at the farm last week when all super duties were doing nuts in the yard. My 2017, I could barely get one going in the snow even with turning off TC. Sure learning a lot with my truck as I have taken a few trips now and finding new things each time.

Press once turns off basic traction control
Press twice fairly quickly and get sport mode but keeps some basic traction control.
Hold down for a few seconds and turns off traction control, advance trac, and almost all traction stuff (maybe all).
I played with this when I first got my truck and the truck did seem to hold each gear a little longer under acceleration. Not quite like sport mode on some cars but how much can you expect from a brick.
I do know in a lot of cars a single tap of the traction control button leads to only disabling some functionality where as a hold for seconds completely disables traction control.

It is very odd this is not documented.
It reminds me a lot of my silverado the SD replaced. If you held down different buttons or did a little button combination you got different results. Then all of that would do even different things in tow/haul mode. I haven't played around enough with the SD yet but it is appearing to be the same.
None of that was documented anywhere either besides some forums.
