I bet it defaults back to "safe" when the vehicle is restarted.
I will caution y'all that, at least in sports cars, these things can get away from you. There's a passel of bent Vettes and Mustangs out there from people turning off the nannys and thinking they were better drivers than they actually were.
Just don't get behind on your steering.
If someone loses control of a Super Duty because they turned sport mode on, their next vehicle should be a Prius.
Traded my 2018 Ford Raptor in May for my 2018 F350 Platinum Diesel. Had a Pedal Commander in the Raptor and made a world of difference in throttle response and Turbo Lag. I kept it when i traded the Raptor and turns out its the same part# for the F350. Not quite as much improvement as the Raptor but does make a very noticeable difference in throttle response. I consider this sport mode and would actually purchase one again. Driving the truck in stock mode seems almost dangerous!
If you get a chance, try one, you'll like it!
thanks for the info, I’ve been thinking about getting one of these. My concerns are these:
Did the dealer instal it ? , is it legal in California? And does it void your warranty.. I too have said the lag on the pedal is so bad that you can cause an accident in certain occasions when you realy need to accelerate out of the situation.
