Here's the page from the owner's manual...seems interesting to me that the manual has no mention of 'sport' mode but it is clear from the table that the double press of the traction control button reduces sensitivity of the traction control system and the stability control system. Does that make the truck handle in a more sporty way?

Also, I don't think this should be confused with the sport mode of the F150s since this does not affect transmission shift points.

Thanks for the reminder from the manual, and yes, only pushed once and so the traction control and roll stability were still reducing engine RPM. I will need to go with the longer on the TC button for the next time. I can see where these different options would defiantly have their uses as the diesel is so torquey it's nuts.

Try the Sport Mode and Tow/Haul at the same time. I'm curious.

Wondering if turning traction control completely off allows for the diesels to have full torque in the first 3 gears?

If that was the case I would run sport mode everyday and put a piece of electric tape over the light.

I tried Sport Mode yesterday. Seemed to make absolutely zero difference in the way the truck operated. No improved throttle response or gear mapping.

On the Super Duty, it appears to only affect Stability Control. So basically worthless.

I tried it as well - I couldn't tell a difference then again - I am not an expert on this... but nothing was obvious.

Wondering if 6.2 and 6.7 there's a difference ?
When I tried it was nothing like the 150 Sport mode but it did seem a little more responsive. but it could have been in my head.. After all I still get a slight bit of Ash when I blow my nose.

Anybody have any raw data on what this actually does now 2 years later? My 19 still has it and it seemed to adjust some shifting but again, could all be in my head.

I did this when I had my Tundra. It was called beast mode. It turned the truck into a dragster. It was fun to drive.

I press and hold the button for 6 seconds on my truck every single time I start it up. I don't want that stupid crap effecting the way I drive. I was so mad with my 2016 Ram 3500, because you could not turn it off at all!

I'm really tempted to pull the rear ABS sensors or fuse to permanently get rid of it...

I don't think it does anything to the transmission programing, simply deals with stability/traction control.

Also, if you deactivate traction control, the adaptive cruise control won't work, and gives an error message.

Traded my 2018 Ford Raptor in May for my 2018 F350 Platinum Diesel. Had a Pedal Commander in the Raptor and made a world of difference in throttle response and Turbo Lag. I kept it when i traded the Raptor and turns out its the same part# for the F350. Not quite as much improvement as the Raptor but does make a very noticeable difference in throttle response. I consider this sport mode and would actually purchase one again. Driving the truck in stock mode seems almost dangerous!

If you get a chance, try one, you'll like it!
