Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 39, dark ugly gray heavy overcast, but at least it hasn't rained in the last 60 seconds! Fortune Tellers crystal ball is full of ugly gray squares with nothing but rain drops and snow flakes pictured...seems like forever.
By the way, for those of you whom seem to be confused......it's Saturday #5!
Today is my last Friday for a while. It'll be a good 6 months worth of Saturdays!
I guess "seasonal" is different from "part time". When I was doing part time with the State at the Police Academy, we "part timers" were restricted to no more than 200 hours per quarter.

The restrictions Federal seasonal workers have is 1,049 hours a year, or 6 months in a calendar year. Whichever comes up first. If it was just the hours, I could work part time the whole year, but my 6 months is up.
I could get hired for a seasonal position with a different job title (laborer or maint. worker instead of Park Ranger) for the next 6 months, but this time around I'm just going to take the time off.
No, just an example. My 6 year old has always been very cautious about things, so it may take a while before he wants to try it. He says he wants to, but I can tell he's not ready.
I can already tell my 10 month old is going to be a bit more of a dare-devil, so he may be ready for it in a few years.
