Well I got my steering column and drop bracket. How do I go about setting up the drop bracket? I was thinking of mocking up column and then put on column drop and see where to mount it. Or is there a easier way? Thanks for all the help. And before I forget this is for a 1955 f100 with power steering box added.
Happy New Year.

Hopefully someone smarter than me will be along shortly. On my '56 I used the IDIDIT column, CPP power steering box and firewall brake kit. I think the column is thirty inches long and the column drop is 4 1/2". I'm using a universal joint for the column box connection. I just connected it all up and had my helper support it. I sat in the seat I was going to use, and determined which drop was going to work best. For our trucks it seems that 4 1/2'" drop is a good place to start. I think I used the 30" IDIDIT column. I would have to check that to be sure.
I guess i worded it the wrong way. I have everything done except the drop and installing the column. I am trying to find out how and where to mount the drop for the column. I was going to put on the u joint and loosely mount the drop in line with the hole in the floor to the power steering box. What do you all think? Sorry for all the confusion.
