LF Window motor??
Today, after not driving my truck for over a month I discovered that my LF window motor has evedentally frozen up.....
All the other windows work (Crew cab)
When I press the button I can hear what I believe is a relay clicking kind of loud under the dash.....
My question is CAN MY motor be rebuilt by an auto electric shop?
I've never had good luck with the reman stuff from the box auto stores....
I took a look on Ebay and saw that they seem to be folks selling the motor and regulator all together......I've never seen that before........
Believe me I've changed out MANY a Ford window motor, but want to be smart in what I do with this one.....
Any suggestions guys??

If it were me, I would either be sourcing a "used" one from a pick and pull yard or buying an aftermarket from a part store and just go with it.

Is the motor actually frozen up, or is it just in need of fixing the thermistor in the motor control circuit? There are several write-ups on how to do this.

I think I'm going to pull it tommorow and take it to my local auto electric shop on Monday.
All they can say is no.
I am not comfortable tearing into it myself....
Thanks Guys!

You are talking about your drivers window on a crew cab, right?

Guys, GOOD NEWS; I took the door panel off and gave the motor a few whacks with the plastic end of a big screwdriver then tried it.....worked just as it always has!! I ran it up and down about 20 times, no problems, must have just been stuck from sitting!
Just fighting the darn door panel back on now........

When can we expect an official write-up and pictures, complete with part number of the screwdriver?
Glad it's working for you.
