ive got a new gas platinum and it seems like when I turn on the truck there's a solid 5 to10 second delay before AC kicks on. If I remote start AC will be on but then after I hit the start button it pauses again for the deejay.......Is anyone else experiencing this? Doesn't seem like a big deal and perhaps it's normal but it's definitly noticeable and I live in Florida it's about to get hot.
I know with remote start the AC will come on as it set then when you turn the key on it goes to your present setting. That's how mine is working anyway.
Do you have the remote start settings for climate on Auto or Last Setting. Auto senses the temp of the cab and seats and turns all the cooling on remote start. I don't ussually let mine idle long but this will be handy for cooling as I have a black interior.
The other thing I have noticed is if I leave settings lower, on start, then things get going faster, i.e. Seats on hi cool, temp set to 65 degrees. Versus no cooled seats on and setting temp to 72, this seems to get going better, faster.
The climate control seems to be not very precise in these trucks. Sometimes I get in the truck and the outside temp is 35F...but the cooled seat turns on because sunlight has warmed the cabin to maybe 50F.
But the biggest gripe is how slow the A/C is to respond. I get in when its 80F, climate is set to 70F both sides. Just a very small amount of cold air trickles out of the vents. Does Ford think I want to start sweating while I wait for that tiny amount of air to cool the cabin? So I turn it down to 65F...and still, it does not increase.
I've now resorted to simply hitting max A/C when I want to cool off, and then move to auto once the cabin is cool.
As for the A/C delaying, are you referring to cool air or actually hearing the compressor click on?
I believe when the climate control is "off," then the blend doors actually close to the outside air. The delay may be the doors motoring into open position. Shouldn't take 10 seconds, but maybe 5.

The climate system is part of sync 3. When you start the truck, the a.c. won't start till sync 3 boots up.. that is why there is a delay.
when you remote start, the a.c. will start and when you hit the start button in the truck, sync 3 again boots up so the A.C. system pauses while it boots up and then starts up again.
