    I just purchased your old 1962 ford f100 (Red/White) on Tuesday 11/8/11. Fist, im glad to see that you did sell it, and it was not stolen! I love the truck and I only have one concern, Im having a heck of a time getting it registered. From what I can see there was not a transfer of title when the truck was sold to you. I was able to contact the orginal owners in Montana, and she didnt recall signing a bill of sale.

    Im wondering if there is any information you could provide me that will help getting this truck registered.

    Right now i'm getting it safe and reliable. After that i'm torn 50/50 between;

    Restomod as original as possible

    RestoRat, satin black paint w/red rims and white walls with hopped up engine.

    I like how you saved your truck.

    What are your future plans?

    Hi I forgot you were the pastor! I posted to your reply, but another reason I started this shock thread was because the only one that I have seen here seems like it might have some flex in it and that might create a tire bounce. but please jump in! oh and pray for me? LOL...i'm not kidding...

    Thanks, LVIN4JC used to be my license plate when I lived in Montana. I'm a pastor now so I guess it still fits
    The 95hp rating was what I didn't like about it. If it had a V-8 flathead in it I would have returned the truck completely back to bone stock and the cool factor of the engine would have been enough. But this truck's been a workhorse all it's life and it has some angle iron welded to it here and some bailing wire holding stuff together there. So I really feel ok darksiding it. I'm interested in more of a hot rod, kind of a muscle truck and a 95hp engine doesn't fit that. Also there was the reliability factor, I really want to drive this truck every day that it's nice outside and while a carbureted engine will be fine for that, a 60yr old 6v points truck probably wouldn't be.

    I like your username. You said you got the 226 running. What was wrong with it that you wanted to change it out? Mine runs smooth, but I still need to solder the radiator (slow leak), and I may need a new thermostat. It seemed to work OK, but I don't know how old it is. The truck is promised to my twelve year old. Now, I need to work on one for the fifteen year old. My truck 'Red' came from Wyoming. I don't know off hand what I could use from your engine, but I do plan to leave mine as is for the foreseeable future. Good luck.
