Description
High-Quality Powered Side Steps For Your Super Duty
The AMP Research Powered Running Boards are the crown jewels of the side step/running board world, and this kit for Super Duty trucks is one of the cleanest, high-tech, and ergonomic ways to make getting in and out of your tough F250 or F350 truck that much easier. These steps feature an electric motor assembly and a hinged design that allows these steps to fold up and tuck against your Super Duty's frame while driving and then instantly unfold them into place when you park or unlock your truck. As soon as you're in your truck and close your doors, the steps fold back under the truck to give you improved aerodynamics while driving and a much sleeker, clean look than other traditional side steps and running board assemblies. AMP's Powered Running Boards are also some of the toughest, highest-quality steps on the market and can handle any application while being able to support up to 600lbs of total weight. This version even comes with Plug-and-Play Wiring and an OBD-II connector that make it extremely easy to install. The AMP Research Super Duty Powered Steps are the perfect solution for getting in and out your truck, especially if it's aggressively lifted and/or running larger wheels and tires
Legendary AMP Research Quality and Toughness
The AMP Research Powered Steps are built extremely tough and can shrug off the toughest applications and harshest climates. The boards themselves are manufactured from aircraft-grade die-cast aluminum that is then powder coated and Teflon coated to resist damage, corrosion, wear, and discoloration. Each step comes standard with stainless steel pivot pins and full-length internal ribs to handle extremely heavy weights. The electric motors that allow the step to fold and unfold are entirely weatherproof and come with a full wiring harness for tapping into your F250 or F350's electrical system. AMP's steps come with built-in LEDs for area and courtesy lighting. Each AMP Research Powered Side Step Package comes with two side steps, wiring, hardware, and instructions.
Cab Fitment: 2017 F250/F350/F450 Crew Cab

$39 Two-Day Shipping: We here at Stage 3 Motorsports can now offer an extremely low $39 Two-Day shipping option for these steps to anywhere in the continental United States! Just give us call directly at 1-877-578-2433 to order!

Warranty: AMP Research is so confident in their PowerSteps that they are backed by a 5 Year/60,000 Mile Warranty.

I just went out and looked under my truck and the only connection I see off of the harness is a two wire connection for the lights on the fixed running boards, near the rear of the running boards. I'm guessing yours would have a more substantial connection there for the motor.

I have a 2017 F250 KR that came with fixed running boards and am interested in putting power running boards on to replace them. I have seen it mentioned in a couple threads about the AMP power running boards being a good product, they are an option for me, but does anyone know for sure if the OEM power running boards from Ford can be added after the fact so that they tie into the truck's computer as if they came on the truck from the factory? I wasn't sure if the hook up's are there on the harness and such if the truck did not come with them from the factory and if the computer would see them after being plugged in if the hook up's were there.

Can anybody tell me if the AMP Research Extension Arms will work on Ford 2017 SD power deployable running boards?

What is the distance from ground to board step from both rigid and powered boards?

Appreciate your feedback.

I guess we will find out next week. They said they have done it twice. They stated very clearly that they were not Amp aftermarket units but they were indeed OE ford parts. The original price they gave me was like 2200 each.
They did however say they have installed Amp begore.
They also stated that it would definetly take a full day vs the Amp units can be done in 2 to 3 hours.
The tech said it was labor intensive and they had to get a sub harness and program the truck.

I have the factory power running boards. No, need for a lighted running board with the puddle lights, like others have said.

There have been guys that's reported that has had snow and mud packed in and they have still worked flawlessly unless a rock got wedged in the hinge somewhere.
Some days I wished I could've rearranged them an got them with the options I ordered early on to get the LED headlights...
