So my gauge lighting does not work at all. It's not a new issue, was like that when I bought the truck but never bothered me because I never drove it in the dark. I don't drive the truck much but it would be nice to have dash lights especially this time of the year. So far I've replaced all the fuses and turned the dimmer back and forth, other than that what could my iissue be? The switch? Bulbs?
When you turn on the headlights, do the tail lights work? The tail lights share a common fuse feeding the dash lights. The intent is if your tail lights blow a fuse, you may not notice, so the dash lights are on the same circuit to get your attention.
Downstream of this common fuse is a second, smaller fuse in series for just the dash lights. The intent here is if there's a short in the dash lights, it won't take out the tail lights, because those are way more important.
Did you double check the new fuses after replacing them? If you had a problem that was overloading a fuse, the new one would fail, too, so check them again to be sure.
After that, it's time to break out the voltmeter and check for power, etc. Or you could gamble and go straight for the bulbs. Your choice.
The dimmer "resistor" in the actual headlight switch is the problem (if you have power to the switch).
This is the usual situation.
Replace the switch..

That is what I was thinking also.
Did the inside light turn on/off when turning the switch?
In a car I am restoring that resistor was all green. I don't know if dash lights worked or not as I replaced the switch as part of the restore.

Forgot to mention that all the exterior lights work but I'll check the fuses again and then try the headlight switch which is what I figured it was anyway, just wanted to make sure there was nothing else. Thanks guys.
