My dash lights worked fine untill a week ago Dimmer functioned and the whole nine yards. Never seen a problom with them. We drove to get grocries one eve and they worked on the way down and then when I left they were dead. The running lights work and I cannot locate any fuse for the dash lights in the fuse panel.
My wiring book for the 64 shows a fuse on the switch itself for the dashlights. Where is it and can I change it? If it is not that I assume it is the comutator in the switch itself and will need replacing.
If the fuse doesnt fix it, the other thing that controls the dash lights is the light switch ****...it rotates...one way all the way turns on the dome light, the other extreme turns off the dash lights...in between though it adjusts the brightness of the dash lights.
A common thing is the spring in the headlight switch which works the rheostat for the dash light breaks or corrodes and thus kills the lights.
You also may just have the **** turned all the way off or in a spot on the rheostat that turns them off...just rotate the **** a bit can usually help get them on.
Both the panel lights and the parking light fuse were bad. Funky thing was I had working panel lights.
I think what may have caused the problom is I wired my radio memory into the constant hot for the lights. I belive the old fuse just finaly gave in.
I know this is an old thread but I just picked up a 1964 F250 that has the same issue. No backlight on instruments and no signal indicator lights on dash. Can you repost this image/diagram? Thank you!!

Welcome to FTE!
The problem with replying to old threads. The person you are asking hasn't been on since 2016.
Your fuses are located on the headlight switch if that's what you are asking. It is best to start a new thread if you have a problem, you can't sort out.
Thank you. Yes I knew it was a longshot. I will create a new topic. I know where the fuses are but wanted the diagram showing the connections. Trying to sort out why my dash lights are not working…switch vs corroded connection, fuse etc. the very short glass fuse that some have discussed seems to have continuity so I’m trying to track down the culprit. The bulbs work and were previously replaced with LED’s.
