Lights dimming and flashing

Lights dimming and flashing
I noticed my lights started to flash and dimp. Then my radio
shut off and my dash lights went out. The Radio came back on but the dash
lights didn't. When I got back to my driveway I shut the truck off and turn
each of my accesory lights on one by one. None of them were the problem
Then I turned on my parking lights and the switch (I took the dash apart)
was making a popping noise and everytime it did the lights would flicker.
I checked the dash lights fuse and it seems fine.
So I find a brand new healight switch and install it. The lights came on
perfect for about a minute then the switch started making noise and the
lights started flashing and dimming again. I checked the fuse box and I
couldn't find a fuse for the headlights does anyone know if a 78 F-250 has
a headlight fuse? I'm not sure what could be causing this problem I didn't
see any noticable wire problem under the dash. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check out the floor dimmer switch. Or replace it. They don't cost that much. You'd be surprised how many systems get run through goofy paths. This issue just seems to ring a bell, for an issue I had. At first I was thinking headlight switch...but you already replaced it. Good luck... I hate electrical problems.

The dimmer switch on the older trucks is in a bad place, down on the floor where it gets wet, and the floorboards tend to rust.
If that doesn't fix it, check the headlight wiring plug very carefully. Make sure it's not melted looking and the connectors are in good shape.

I've had some issues where my lights were on in the past then
I turn my high beams on and after light five min. all the lights
turn off then come back on . I should've known but I didn't even
think about it.
