Boost issues Need Help

Hi i have an 03 F350 6.0 turbo diesel. Problem im having is a boost problem. on the passenger side, the intake tube keeps popping off the turbo. The Boot ripped on me on a hill so i replaced it with one from the junkyard seeing that it costs so much new. Anywho when i changed the intake tube i did clean it with brake cleaner to clean it and wipe it off. After i did i went for a ride and it just popped off at about 2500 rpm. So i went back thinking maybe i had too many bruskies and recleaned and tightened the clamps on the boot again. Get going down the road going normal again. I gave it a heavy foot to about 3200 and let off it made a sound like fluttering then as soon as i hit it again it blew off. looked at some other forums that said to put hairspray on the boot to seal it. havnt drove it yet just looking for other peoples solutions.

Hairspray is a very good mitigation.

Our dealer also uses new clamps when installing new boots.

I did get a new Hose. old one blew apart re used the clamps though. im just curious if you think it is loading up. caused by either the waste gate or the computer from having a bad boot?

Once again, need to know your boost. Shouldn't be over 28 max.

Just an FYI, but a 6.0 uses a variable geometry turbo, no waste gate on these puppies.
As Mike mentioned, try a new clamp as they stretch over time. Tighten it down
to 9 ft lbs, or until the spring is compressed and you feel some resistance.
Be sure the pipe is not getting tapered. Overboost can cause this as well, should rule that out...........what are you using for live data?
Any codes?

New Discoveries

Ok so i ran my buddies scan tool while i drove it. it says that im pushing the right boost (26 to 28 psi) but when it falls on its face loses boost. I think its because my intercooler is clogged. gonna check tomorrow with a vacuum. If it struggles its clogged. If its not im not sure. In reply to the last post the 03 does not have a variable vane turbo. 04 on does.
