Hi I have a 05' 6.0 with about 130,000 every thing seems to work fine except when I get on it, It takes off but slow not like used to, and the turbo whisles. When I get over 1000 RPM and let off it sounds like a jake brake not real loud but like something is covering the exaust on and off thanks.

Max boost floored should be in the 25 to 28 psi range. The cac boots are the rubber hoses connecting the turbo to the intercooler and intake. It's not uncommon for one to come off or tear. Doesn't take much for one to lose boost. That's the first and cheapest place to start.

05 also had the plastic cold side CAC tube that tends to split thus the Duct tape mod for Temp fix if it leaks
Find the turbo and follow the 3" tubes there is 4 boots
1 at turbo
2 at intercooler by radiator
1 at the intake where it 90* into the intake manafold

I checked all of that and only found a loose clamp, but now the boost goes to 20+ and the black smoke roles. I still have the jake brake sound when I let off even at 1000 RPM. when I floor it I don't seem to have the power. I want to thank you for answering and wish you all a happy new year.
