Pics of Tab 7. Don't remember what the mount is, too many years for my old memory!! I think it was made by Arkon. Quick remove tab mounts to the Tab 7, and slides into and out of the mount. Added a cheap shell type cover to the Tab 7 to attach the mount to.

That looks pretty good. I might end up going this route. Thanks for the pics!
How does the tablet stay up there? Do you have some sort of a custom cradle it docks into or something?
Ya what i did is wrap the tablet in foil and than fiberglassed around it to make a pod. Than i epoxyed it in. It really wasnt that hard really. Than i got it hooked up to charge off the power from the radio harness and than ran a aux cord to the eq and than went out to the amps and speakers. Full navi and music and pandora and games and internet. I also have it linked to my comcast so i can watch tv or shows when waiting for ppl

Don't think I would go this route but I love the innovative setup. The fact you managed to get it hard wired into the truck is cool too.
I like the idea of the joying in dash receiver but I came on here to ask how you did manage to wire it in? Also, to view others are doing this.
I use my old Android phone with torque app installed with my OBD Bluetooth adapter. Like others I can remove it as needed. It rests on my Wal-Mart special adapter that hooks into vents with sticky pad that holds phone.
It hardwires to your power and ground in the truck. Also has rca connectors to go to your car stereo if you want to use the tablets music features or navigation. The other end you just plug the usb charging cable from your device into.
This set-up is awesome. I have been looking into doing this with my early bronco so I can run the radio, gps nav, files whatever. I hate the current kenwood thats in my EX so I may just have to go this route too.
On the screen did you download an app that keeps the screen on when you dont touch it for a while? Or was that in the settings? Seems like some of the tablets have a screen on when charging but wasnt sure.
