Driving down the road minding my own business and I heard a pretty good racket coming from the front passenger side wheel well. Busted shock mounting bracket. Too many bad roads down here in Terlingua.
Would somebody please give me the torque settings for the shock bracket that attaches to the frame and also for the shock bolts?
Just make the shock bracket bolts to the frame as tight as you feel comfortable going. As long as you don't break the bolts your good, torque specs aren't really necessary for that bracket. As for the shock just don't make it so tight that it crushes the bushing in the shock.
