Thanks Ryan, looks interesting. I am wondering about possible over boost, I believe I have the stock head bolts, I won't know for sure until I pull the covers.
Look here below the valve cover. If it's a bolt head, it's STOCK. If You see a 12 point nut, it's studded. Same on both sides. Driverside passenger side
Randy, do you have any suggestions on cleaning the injector bores? I have the wire brushes you showed, just blow the bores out with air after cleaning with the brushes?
I used a micro fiber towel as they are lint free. Put a bit of fresh oil on it and wiped them clean. Use the air to blow the hold down clamp screw hole clean and the oil rail hold down holes as well, there are 9 of the oil rail holes.
Then, lube the new o-rings with fresh oil as you slide them home, make sure you only have 1 copper washer on the injector and it's tight against the injector body and that there isn't one stuck in the bore, they sometimes will lay in the bottom. Oil was dripping off mine when I slid them in, rolling a ring is bad.
Just make sure the screw holes are clear or the torque specs will be off and you'll be doing it again.
Thanks Randy, much appreciated. My standpipe and plug kit came with a rail plug and o-ring, where do they go? BTW, both o-rings on the dummy plugs have rolled and the bottom seal on the stand pipes have disintegrated pretty well. I will be fishing the lower sections of the standpipes out tomorrow when I pull the oil rails.
