1992 f-150 5.0 water pump bolts are corroded I want to replace the whole set. The only ones I find that have the studs like the ones I need are for early 90's Mustangs. Anybody know if these will work. The Dorman kit doesn't have but 3 of the 7 bolts.
I am in same predicament...just removed water pump today...and 2 broken bolts along the way!!!! Can we just get a "graded" bolt from local hardware store as a replacement??? If so, what "grade" is suggested we use? Btw...i will only use Motorcraft replacement assemblies...bolts are bolts!

I used the following from latemodelrestoration.com on my 1993 5.0:
They were an exact match for my OEM F150 bolts with the exception of the medium length stud (I received a bolt instead). I believe it was a mistake on their part and it should have shipped with the correct stud. I contacted them and they sent me three studs of different lengths to ensure that i was taken care of. One of the studs they sent was correct.
I wound up buying the Dorman kit. reused the top 2 bolts that just thread into the timing gear cover. then used 2 grade 5 bolts 4 inches long and one at 3.75 inches long. Anti-seized everything. Its back together and not leaking.
On a side note since i had to take TGC off to get a broke stud out. So we replaced the rusted out and patched oil pan while we where in there. Took motor mount to frame nuts off and jacked the motor up where a piece of 2x4 could be put in between the mount and the frame pad. drop the exhaust. unbolted pan drop oil pump and pickup tube into pan pulled the whole thing out. Put it back together and used a Fel-pro OS34508R pan gasket. That is a nice gasket it is a perma-dry. Used there alignment kit that comes with it. Had no trouble getting the bolts started and since it is a ridge gasket it stayed put.
wtroger....did you use RTV sealant on BOTH gaskets?? Since we have a metal plate between pump and TGC...thus two gaskets and four surfaces that need sealant???
And, can you tell me what to torque the water pump bolts to?
My pump came with gasket and plate already assembled. I glued the gasket on the pump that goes between the pump and TC and used RTV around the water ports. When I installed the TC to the block I used RTV around the water ports there. I felt that was adequate because all the other surfaces where new.
