I need some help here. What do you guys think? A bad Gauge, bad probe or something worse? trying do put up video but it wont let me. but anyway my egt gage jumps all over the place on hard acceleration. If I accelerate smooth it works fine.
Gauges can and do go bad. I have had trouble with SEVERAL transmission gauges and usually it was the wiring between the sender and the gauge. It would do as you are basically describing.
Mine was doing the same thing and it turned out to be the ground. I was sharing a ground wire for all three of my gauges. I ran a separate one just for the pyrometer and the bouncing stopped.
I agree, sounds like a gauge issue. Check all connections first, because a bad ground can cause the issue you are having. The thermocouple/probe is sensitive too, so make sure it has no damage.
That being said, Glow Shift has a bad reputation for quality. You may not physically find any damage, but the gauge could be faulty.
