Based on a lot of research and advise from this forum I pulled the trigger on a new 2016 yesterday down in Denver. Coming from a 2003 v-10 excursion that has treated me right so another super duty was a must. Conditions could have been better for the drive back to Steamboat but the truck and motor were everything I had hoped for. Thanks for all the help you guys have provided and I hope to have the same boring experience of just adding gas, oil, and miles that so many with the 6.2 have had. Now to go ski tomorrow since we are finally getting some much needed snow
Toyo Open Country AT. I wouldn't have ordered the 20" tires/rims but that was what was on it and I assumed that is what came from the factory since they didn't say anything about a tire swap. They did ok in the snow but I'll spent some time with them and probably go with a set of blizzaks for the winter.
Thanks.... I guess roads got a lot worse after I came through. The wife and son are spending the night in Silverthorn since they didn't leave Denver until after 4. The text I got from them was "doing 25 and can't see the side of the road". Glad they made the call to stay put and drive back in the morning.
Proud dad warning.... the reason they stayed in Denver later was so my son could take the ACT this morning and then do a math club contest in the afternoon. His team won the math contest and hopefully his ACT scores will top last years which was a pretty good score but considering he was 11 and in the 6th grade it was a darn good score
You even found one with the rare white out Ford logo on the grill!!
Ha.... we have been gone a week and now it has the full truck white out treatment Going to finish this cup of coffee and then go reclaim my truck and driveway. Really looking forward to getting the garage built one of these days.
