There is a white electrical component under my dash. What is it. I will try and attach a pic. The truck is registered as 75' F-350. But I think the cab is a 77' F100.
I am curious, do they even sell these? lol seems like these are the last part to ever go out in any vehicle. lol
Yup, obsolete suppliers still have them. Green Sales has 22. The last time I checked, they were selling them for around $15.00. And I see them often on E-Bay for around $45.00 (!).
There were actually two different buzzers used and the usage is kind of strange. This one (D6AZ-10B924-A) was used on '76 E/F100-350 before s/n C75,000 and then it was also used on the 78-79 models but, for some reason, the '76 models from C75,000 and the '77 models used P/N D6AZ-10B924-B. The "A" version is white, the "B" version is green.
Don't have a clue as to what the differences are.
Not all of them have buzzers. I grabbed one from a '78 or '79 F150 Ranger or Explorer at the yard, and it is long and narrow and white in color, and looks too small to have a buzzer. Fortunately it does not buzz. All it does is illuminate the seat belt warning light for several seconds when the key is turned to run.
