1951 truck is 65 years old, so who knows how many parts have been replaced that were not the originals?

1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog only lists 01T-2472 10 1/4" brake retracting spring for 1948/52.

Carpenter's 1948/56 Ford Truck REPRO parts catalog lists this same spring and applications.
