So recently I got back to working on my truck and it sat for only a couple months and went to fire it up but it didn't have a spark, so I replaced the cdi box, coil and magnetic pickup in the distributor. I'm getting spark from the coil but not through the distributor, someone please help me I'm tired of this crap!
I would pull the distributor cap and clean the inside and check the rotor for corrosion. I would also check my points and point gap. I once had a car that would start to run poorly and miss. I would wipe out the the cap and take emery paper to the rotor and it would run fine. (I was on a starving student budget).

OP says he has a '76, and refers to magnetic pickup in the distributor. This would either be Duraspark or aftermarket electronic ignition.
That said, the advice to clean things up and inspect components holds, along with tracing the system back to a point where you find electricity. Where the juice starts is also where it ends, so find the component or connection that's not passing it on.
You must be methodical in doing these things. Don't just replace parts, find the culprit.

Same problem with the 390, I thought it was the Duraspark ll module, and when in doubt start replacing components; fortunately FTE member posted a several page work sheet on diagnosing the DS system. I got to the 2nd page and diagnosed the problem was in the distributor, no ohms reading (orange and Purple). Removed the distributor, found substantial amount of surface rust between the distributor and block, cleaned, wiped carbon deposit off stator, retested and got a reading; reinstalled the distributor, set timing; Zoom-Zoom. ** Too recently, replaced the distributor with a '?' remanufactured, not pleased, intend replacing.
I found the link below the easiest to follow than any of the other DS diagnostic sheets I have come across.

I had a similar situation, I then found the rotor laying on the intake manifold
