I recently installed LEDs on my 2011 Super Duty and also had the dealership turn off the build out indicator. Now I have noticed that the Headlamp Side markers are not working.
Has anyone ever seen this before? Searching the internet I have found no information.
All of the outside running (marker) lamps are on the same parallel circuit run off a single splice in the wiring harness. Do all of them still work, front and rear, including the license plate lights? Have you installed regular bulbs back into the missing lights to see if it's an issue with the particular LEDs you installed?
Hmm, what's a "build out indicator"? That's a new term for me.
The light in question is the 194 build that is the side marker in each of the headlamp assemblies. It faces to the side of the vehicle.
The license place lamps work fine. I have not replaced them yet, find it odd that when I replaced the f/r turns with LED's these stoped working.
When a bulb goes out for the turn signals, it causes a hyper flash to let you know there is a buld out. I had the dealer disable this feature within the software. Other wise you have to put in a resistor and I did not want to as I have read other have problems with them.
