My '78 F-150's right turn signal bulb (in the dash, not outside) started staying lit this morning when I turned on my headlights. It turns off when I turn on the right blinker or turn the lights off, but stays on when the left blinker is on or just the lights are on. All the lights, flashers and blinkers work as they should.
Any suggestions on where to look first? This is an original (and largely un-butchered) 31 year old wiring harness, so I know I've been lucky to avoid electrical gremlins for the 7 years I've owned it.
I know this should go to the electrical forum, but I'd like to try it here first.
Mine used to do that, only both my blinker lights would light up when I turned the lights on. After I replaced my broken turn signal switch it was fine. But it sounds like a ground problem maybe.
Thanks. It does have a cheapy O'Reilly flasher unit (a couple of bucks and about 1.5 years old). Probably is a ground, could have to do with all the rain we've had.
