yes, factory 'grommets' and covers. if you'd asked my thumbs yesterday, they would have told you 'not worth the pain'. maybe just an age thing... did have to soak in HOT water and immediately install. i did 'remove' all the thicker 'valley' ridges from the underside of the bedrug using the grommet as a template. i don't think they would have worked if i hadn't, but YMMV. worked for me.

NICE JOB! That' what I will be doing. Thanks for the tips and inspiration. Still waiting on my truck. I installed my dad's bedrug in his F150. It is a bit of work to get everything bolted in. The Gooseneck kit and plug add even more work.
Thanks to all! Now for reality... the GN & Prep kit was a moderate PITA. [understatement]i'm a bit OCD and more than a bit **** [/understatement], so I most likely made it harder than it needed to be. I didn't measure a thing; dropped the bottom of the bedrug in, centered as best one can; pounded the crap out of the bedrug on top of the pucks and hitch with a rubber mallet (all covers and grommets OFF); turned the rug over; voila! you can see the center of each pretty clearly. used a 2 3/4 and 4 1/4 hole saw (I think that's the size of the bed penetrations, as I said, just me, one could just cut it out); then trimmed back the thicker backing out to the radius of the appropriate grommet + a bit; then followed normal install instructions, verifying before the Velcro was adhered to the bed, the holes matched up close. I actually put the hitch and two of the puck grommets on before the Velcro was stuck down, wanted to hopefully make sure I wouldn't have to pull the whole thing out to trim more. have fun! it helps two have a friend around who can laugh at/with you... and help some too!
Where are you guys purchasing these from, the dealer or a truck accessory retailer? I ordered mine from the dealer, thinking it would have the ford logo on it as shown in the catalog, but the pics I have seen here, they all say BedRug on them. Granted, I have not been diligent enough to look at all the pictures in this thread. I should have it this week, and my guess is that I will probably be disappointed.

I'm hoping mine comes with the ford logo. It seems I might be the only one in this thread to order from the ford catalog, granted, at a premium.

So after a six week wait, I finally have my BedRug from the Dealer. I opened it up and was delightfully surprised. I am a happy guy. It's the little things in life...
So, no major hiccups to report in the installation. Directions say to use a T45 for the corner tie-downs, but it is a T40. Bedside tie-down brackets use a T30. Directions also say it includes 42 small pieces of Velcro, but in fact there are 56. I strategically placed them in needed areas. I think it came out great, and I did not have to remove the BakFlip to install, which was a bonus. Just one ugly crease in the wheel well from how it was folded in the box, hopefully that will settle in.
Lights obviously don't brighten up very well versus the Oxford white paint, but still great. I also did the BackFlip rail drain mod suggested by another user.
While I was preparing the bed for installation, I had the rug laid out in the basement TV room, and the kids brought down their pillows and blankets and watched TV in it. After laying on it, I must say, not bad. Maybe I'll let the kids sleep in it tonight in the garage.
So any suggestions on a heavy duty rubber bed mat? Haven't bought one in 30 years - lol.
I got this from Realtruck.com: Dee Zee Truck Bed Mat
Part#: DZ87012. it was about $120. I'm happy with it. It's pretty heavy duty. My only complaint is that there is a 1/2" or so gap all the way around.
