To those who use something such as a bedrug, why do you go with this over something like a spray-on bedliner? I assume the fact it is not permanent is a plus, but that aside, what other advantages do you see? I've always gone with a spray-on, but have not done anything yet with my 17, and certainly intrigued by this.

I went with the bedrug on my F150 due to the uses I had for the truck. I didn't do anything heavy duty with the bed. We had little kids and would take it to the creek and sit in the bed and have lunch before playing in the creek. The bedrug is nice and soft on the backside. It just fit my uses better.
My current truck has no liner. I will like get the Ford spray-in with my next truck.

I had a topper on the previous F150 (which we towed behind our RV), and also now on the new F250 (which will be used to tow an Airstream trailer). We carry lots of travel supplies back there and the BedRug just seems to keep everything a lot cleaner. Much less dust and dirt. More importantly for me is that it has a cushioned, flat surface that is easy on the knees when I'm crawling up in there to pack or retrieve stuff.

I do like the look of it. I also spend a decent amount of time sitting on my tailgate (who doesn't enjoy a few beers from that point of view)? That said, every once in a blue moon I will put a jet ski in my truck bed, and occasionally I will have jet ski engines/other oily parts. As someone who has used it, do you think it would hold up well through that stuff? I am trying to talk myself into it, but it seems like it may not be practical given some of my uses.
I have never seen nor heard of Bedrug. After watching lots of Youtube reviews and installs I like this more than Line-X. One thing I really like is the seal between the bed and tailgate. Just wonder how clean it will stay with a bed cover on also.
Thanks for the thread. This is what makes Forums so good.

On the F150 I laid a length of plastic floor runner across the back end of my bed (on top the BedRug) to contain nasty stuff like gas and oil from chainsaws, leaky gas cans, etc.. Over the six years that I had that truck I spilled a lot of stuff back there and many times it spilled over the plastic runner. The BedRug material got stained but over-all it held up fine. In fact I'd say it held up incredibly well. Now for the F250 I picked up a couple of rubber boot trays from Amazon that I'll use in the back to place things like chain saws and gas cans when I carry them. These boot trays have a one-inch lip and should do a better job of containing messes.
To more directly answer your question, yes, I think it would hold up fine. Spilled fuel and oil can be cleaned up with a bit of effort (probably no more so than any other bed covering) or you could just leave it and the BedRug will get stained. But it won't ruin it or make it un-usable or less effective.
Amazing fit and finish. Spent about 3 hours installing mostly due to removing box hardware with a socket as my air compressor is out of order. Everything installed over bedrug.
Mine is sitting in the box waiting for a truck to get here. Thanks for the pictures. I hope I made the right choice, I've never had one. Looks great. I do have to cut out for the Gooseneck ball, but Ford has a nice rubber washer/seal that will hold the rug down if I can get it to work right. The Bed Rug is really thick.
Oh yea... I ordered mine with the Reflex tonneau cover and get a $30 rebate from Bed Rug. Was only $350 (short bed, net $320) so even if I hate it, it's not a killer. Thanks to this forum for turning it on to me.

Very nice. I see there is no cutout for the light switch for in bed lighting. Can you still push the button through the Bedrug?
