So I'm going Tuesday to get all or most of the patch panels for my truck. Two of the panels are the front cab mount supports. Has anyone here replaced these? I know I'll have to jack the cab up a little bit, but post-doing that, I'm not sure what all to do. I'm assuming they are spot welded to the floor pans (which are also being replaced), so drill out the spot welds, and weld in the new piece is my guess? Any advice/tips/tricks from someone who has done these or seen them done would be appreciated.
The process should be relatively the same for any model year. Try asking your question in the dent and bump side forums. Their trucks have had more time to rot.
