I am replacing both doors and painting the cab of my 1976 F150 2WD next month. I need to replace the glass runs in both doors and the door seals. I also need to replace the rear window gasket. I am planning on buying a complete gasket/seal kit that includes all the glass runs, door seals, and front and rear window gaskets. The problem is that my rear window is a factory split slider with what appears to be an aluminum frame and I cannot tell what gasket to get for the rear window. As far as I can tell, none of the catelogs mention gaskets for a split rear window. I think they describe the rear window gaskets as being for either a plastic frame or a black frame (not sure, I don't have them with me here at work). Does anyone know what gasket I should order for a factory aluminum frame split rear window?
On my Crew it's just a rubber gasket/seal that the window sits in then presses onto the edge of the window opening on the cab. I don't know where you looked, but LMC, JC Whitney, NPD may have something for you. Good luck.
