i see these sheet metal panels(front right and front left) on ebay or lmc, for that cost seems like not worth metal work on my rusted ones and i do the metal work myself, any thoughts? and how is the fit?

Bottom line it is hard to beat original parts, it's just according to the shape it is in, you don't want to patch one hole and have another show up in your fresh paint a year latter. If your panel is past of point of reworking and having a good solid piece, get a good quality replacement, some of the replacement panels aren't as heavy as original and don't fit as good. Some times a cheap panel is just that a "cheap panel".
good info, my panels are off the truck and can be totally cleaned up and patch, i'll patch my panels, they are in pretty good shape, thanks for the response
The body lines on repros are not as crisp as OEM panels. But on the other hand, one cannot see both sides of the truck at the same time and I don't think any of us would be able to discern the difference assuming, for example, the entire wheel arch is replaced. If just a section then ya might be able to tell the difference.
