Every new Ford I've ever had, gas or diesel, takes a few miles to break in. After that, MPG goes up quite a bit.
I see you've owned a passel as well. Do you recall if that was the case in your other trucks?
I've seen very little change in mpg as miles were added. The new truck gets worse economy because it is a dually, and mine is 3.55 axle. DEF usage seems high, we'll see how far I make it before a refill is needed.
Thanks for posting. It looks like consumption is a little higher, but it could vary based on several factors. Maybe because my '16 got better fuel economy it used less DEF.
