I just got my headers done on my 390. I used long tube headers. It's a 2wd. I am looking at my starter cable routing goes between the primary tubes I think it may melt. Do any of you any different ways or ways you guys have run yours? Or am I over thinking it?
If you can see in my pic above when I was wiring, I ran my battery cable down from the solenoid on the inner fender, behind the Alt in front of the headers and then followed the block back to the starter. I added a clamp in there because there was a bolt hole just back of the center of the block.....easy peasy
Thank you all for the input. Kwe I'm going too copy your routing. I like your engine bay. How is that alternator bracket working for you? The 3g upgrade is coming soon on mine.

I have more pics in my garage or what ever they call the place I put my pics at on here.....
The brackets work just fine. Expensive, but look and work well.
