Yea would just think if your not going the make a access hole to remove the bolt. then leave it dented.
I've got one rusted on an spun front bed bolt an a lot of stuff in my bed when needed to remove the spring bolt when I replace springs with some f350 ones, plus added black poly bushing.

Hmm Jeff by reattaching it by what means like welding the Galvanize?
That's some nasty stuff to weld old school way.

I didn't know they are galvanized. I've actually never seen the box itself. I've never owned one. I don't remember ever selling one and take it out of it's box.

Thanks but I'm not the 1st with the idea. I'll never forget the 58 F100 my Uncle bought off his neighbor back when I was a teenager. His neighbor had done what I described above to that truck's cab corners. Cut the corner part of them out, turned them inside-out, then switched left to right because of their slight curve. Then re-attached them. So now the cab corners were "innies". Then in those innies he vertically mounted some finned aluminum exhaust stacks. Tip of the exhaust exit just a bit below the roof. That exhaust exit was pointed back and just a little outwards. They looked factory installed and Bad Azz but were prolly originally for the rocker panels of some car. Sounded great too.

Maybe he's just sayin' HI not IH as in corn binder. Or maybe he put a
Ford IH diesel in place of his Cummins.
I think it is your 2nd choice. That's why it struck my eye and I think it's so funny. I'll bet he's a mechanic at a Ford Deader or Caterpillar. About 6 years ago my brother worked at a Caterpillar location. They would buy old diesel powered generators and the such. Diesel of any kind. Generator of any kind. Rebuild the whole unit. The diesel, generator unit, etc. Then sell them. Those techs hated Cummins engines. Said stuff like they need a Cummins diaper. They leak oil like an old Harley. Etc. Every one of them drove Ford Power Strokes as their DD.
