Yesterday I upgraded (yeah, I buy used) from my old 1993 F-150 to a 2001 F-150 XTL. My old truck w/4.9-6 and 290K milies still runs strong. But body rusting out.
Anyway I want to move my behind the cab tool box over from the '93 to the '01. But the '01 has a been liner that completely covers the bed rails. Even on top. Obviously I have to get under the liner to bolt the box on. How are the liners attached? How to get under them?
BTW. Box came already on the '93 which also has bed liner. And just yesterday I found that amazingly it was NOT bolted on. Just such a snug fit between wheel well and front of bed that it didn't move.
Since no one replied, plodded along on my own. What I'm doing is this. I removed the bed liner. Good thing to because there was a bunch of dirt and junk under it. Got it all washed out. Now I'm going to use my Sawsall to cut out an access area in the area under where the truck box will sit. So I can get under the rail to tighten the bolts.
