Adding a keypad

I purchased the remote keyless entry keypad for my XL. I do have power equipment group, and I have keyless entry fobs. The keypad is a Ford product, and came with its own permanent entry code. My truck also came with the card stamped with the permanent entry code, they are not the same. I have read through instructions and searched on the internet, but has anyone been able to make the "added" keypad communicate with the truck? The dealer said I shouldn't have to bring in in there. I'm not having any luck. Thanks.

I've not added a keypad, but.. have you tried adding the keypads code to that of the truck? I found the place to set up keypad codes while experimenting with setting etc in the truck.. but I can't tell you where, but I'm sure you can find it just by looking. The setting lets you 'Add' codes as opposed to changing a code, though it lets you do that too.
